As explained previously, the ear sense door is a vital factor in the understanding to bodily phenomenon and can be used as a means to come to an understanding of the ultimate nature of all conditioned phenomena – which is arising and passing away. However, the ear is only one of the 6 sense doors which in turn is one of the 5 khandas, for a better understanding of this process please read the following posts.
The five aggregates (pancakkhandha)
Mind or citta, combined with mental factors, i. e. feeling, perception, volition, make the four mental phenomena (four namakkhandha).
Base or sense door and object make physical phenomena (rupakkhandha).
